Choosing the right one
Sold singly, as a pendant, or strung into a mala. Nepal origin is larger and dearer than Java.
Looking after it
- Keep dry where possible; wipe with a soft cloth.
- Oil occasionally with a drop of mustard or olive oil to stop the bead drying out.
- Remove before bathing with soap or shampoo.
