Two natural faces running the length of the seed. Nepal beads are larger and more defined; Java beads smaller.

Choosing the right one
Nepal beads commonly 16–22 mm, Java 8–14 mm. Both are genuine; the difference is size and price, not authenticity.
Looking after it
- Keep dry where possible; wipe with a soft cloth.
- Oil occasionally with a drop of mustard or olive oil to stop the bead drying out.
- Remove before bathing with soap or shampoo.
